The Boys From Bustan; El Gouna FC Revisited
In contrast with last season, coinciding with El Gouna FC's first appearance at Egyptian top flight level, the coastal club from the Red Sea resort near Hurghada are opting to host powerhouses Ahly and Zamalek on their home soil, rather than taking the hike to Sohaq and thus depriving their partisan support from the creme de la creme.
An El Gouna FC press release roughly dictates as follows in the best tradition of Poor Google Translation Alert.

El Gouna is waiting for the security approval to host Al Ahli and Zamalek
Club El Gouna, do all the security Regulations requested by the Security Directorate of the Red Sea, for approval to host the matches Ahli and Zamalek Stadium El Gouna in the new season.
The Club El Gouna had requested the security of the Red Sea to approve the establishment of two matches the team with Al Ahli and Zamalek, after playing last season in Sohag, and requested the security authorities the implementation of some requirements on the Stadium, El Gouna, before agreeing to it, which is implemented by the Department of El Gouna in the past.
Ahmed Al Sehifi, board member of the Club El Gouna and General Supervisor of the Group, the club on Saturday sent a letter to the Red Sea security informing them of the Regulations to implement all the required and expected to arrive in Hurghada security officials to inspect the renovations carried out by the Club El Gouna.

Transer News
Ahmed Hassan, "Drogba" won the top scorer in the session, as did Mohammed Abdul
It appears El Gouna FC haven't been over-active during the the transfer window. I have no record of players that have left.
The only three acknowledged new signings are Gamal Hamza, returning from Al Ahly after a short spell, striker Ahmed 'Drogba' Hassan and goalie Mohamed Abdul Monsef

I never was convinced of Gamal Hamza as a professional player. He always had some kind of problem with his attitude.

My whachda or whahid piaster and thaletta irsh feeling, equivalent to just two cents, dictated me to sense that crowd favorite Gamal Hamza considered El Gouna FC to be just a stepping stone.
Insignificant Red Sea interbellum between German oblivion at Mainz 05 and the highly anticipated Ahly shape of things to come.
Earth calling Gamal Hamza, do you read me?
Assyut Switch
El Gouna FC's home matches during ramadan have been switched to Assyut since their ground in Bustan is void of a proper floodlight system.
Re: The Boys From Bustan; El Gouna FC Revisited
Coach Ismael Youssef has resigned after El Gouna FC's dismal start to the season.
