Egypt, the most successful nation in the African Cup of Nation's history, winning the tournament a record seven times, will kick off their ACN 2012 qualifying campaign in September 2010 with a home-tie versus Sierra Leone.

The Pharaohs have been paired with the Leone Stars, Bafana Bafana and Mena (if they turn up) in Group 7.

Let us try to remember of the times where they were at and exchange thoughts about the exploits of The Pharaohs during their rampaging crusade towards Gabon cum suis.

Here's to another Nations Cup success. Too bad we have to wait four more years for a glimpse of the World Cup.

Egypt's draw with Zimbabwe in Cairo allegedly haunted The Pharaohs during their entire qualification campaign for South Africa.

Slightly off-topic; I reckon qualifying for Libya 2013 would also see Misr progress to Brazil?
